Ex Wheat Kings Find New Pro Homes

How was your long weekend? Uneventful, but nice to have four consecutive days off in a row (Around the Horn reference!!!).

Here a few notes from the pro's over the last few days...

- Former Brandon Wheat Kings' captain Ryan Craig signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins. The 28-year-old spent the majority of last year with the Tampa Bay Lightning's American Hockey League affiliate the Norfolk Admirals. In 73 games, Craig collected 23 goals for 45 points.

- Former Brandon Wheat King Nolan Yonkman has agreed to a contract with the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes. Yonkman has spent the past four seasons with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals, the farm team of the Nashville Predators. The 29-year old Yonkman is organization depth for the Coyotes and expected to spent most of the season with the AHL's San Antonio Rampage.

- Neepawa product Triston Grant is property of the Florida Panthers after signing a two-way, one-year deal. The 26-year-old had 12 goals for 25 points while adding 236 penalty minutes in 74 games with AHL's Milwaukee Admirals.
