Wheat Kings Tentative Schedule Set

The Brandon Wheat Kings released details of their tentative schedule on Tuesday.

Of the club's 36 home games, 16 will be played on Friday night while 11 will be played on Saturday.

Of the remaining nine, 3 are on Tuesday, 4 on Wednesday, 1 on Thursday (Remembrance Day) and 1 on Sunday.

Here's are a few other highlights after the Eastern Conference scheduling meeting on Monday.

- The year begins about a week later than normal with Brandon opening the season at home on Friday, September 24th when they entertain the Regina Pats.

- Brandon's schedule also includes their annual West Coast road trip, with this year's being seven games long and taking place from October 20-30.

- The club will also host Medicine Hat in their annual Remembrance Day clash on November 11th.

- All five U.S. Division teams will visit Westman Communications Group Place this year with the Manitoban-laden Tri-City Americans coming to the Wheat City on October 9th.

- The WHL Champion Calgary Hitmen make two trips to Brandon, visiting the Wheat Kings on November 19th and January 7th.
