WHL AGM Starts Today

The Western Hockey League's brass meet Tuesday and Wednesday in Calgary.

The league's annual general meeting will cover a number of topics including the CHL's possible involvement in the Molson Hockey Summit in August.

According to a Hockey Canada release, the Summit's agenda including a topic about 'addressing the developmental shortcomings in elite junior hockey programs and the impact of european migration to the Canadian junior ranks.'

Possible rule changes and a review of the 2009-2010 season will also be on the agenda but fans waiting for the league's schedule will have to wait.

The Eastern Conference scheduling meeting isn't until next Monday (June 21).
