Wheat Kings Injury Update - Kind Of!

The Brandon Wheat Kings could get defenceman Darren Bestland back for Game #4 of their WHL Eastern Conference Semifinal with Saskatoon.

Bestland has missed the first three games of the series with an undisclosed injury but practiced without restrictions on Thursday afternoon and paired with regular partner Mark Schneider, prompting speculation (my own) that he'll be in the lineup on Friday night.

It's the first time Bestland had skated with the team in the last 10 days.
Meanwhile, it looks like Ryley Miller is still a ways away.

Miller has been sidelined since suffering a broken jaw in practice February 25 but has been skating in a no-contact jersey in practice this week.

The 17-year old is also wearing a full face mask to help protect the injury.

Fans attending this weekend's games at Westman Communications Group Place are being encouraged to come out in full force, make lots of noise and bring along your best signs.

Both the fans and signs will be judged throughout the night by members of the hockey club's Maple Leaf game night staff.

Some lucky fan at each game this weekend will take home the Husky - Mohawk Hi Octane Fan of the Night prize package.
