Game Day Update

- The Wheat Kings will be without C Jay Fehr for Game #2 tonight. Fehr (below) was suspended under supplemental discipline for a check-from-behind double minor he received in the first period of Game #1 last night. Blades' F Curtis Hamilton appeared to suffer a shoulder injury on the play and did not return to action. The length of Fehr's suspension has yet to be announced. Scott Glennie is likely to move to the centre position in Fehr's absence, which may mean some minor line-shuffling for the Wheat Kings.

- Brayden Schenn has goals in 12 of the last 13 games including all five games Brandon has played in the post-season. The Saskatoon product has 14 goals during the stretch.

- The Blades will get an influx of players tonight as Darian Dziurzynski, Sena Acolatse and Duncan Siemens are all eligible to return to the lineup after serving three-game suspensions. "We can go with four lines now, and that's going to be big for us," said Blades' acting coach David Struch earlier today. We'll have the complete interview on our pre-game show.

- A different kind of uniform is at stakes in the series between the Wheat Kings and Blades. Saskatoon police Chief Clive Weighill and Brandon police Chief Keith Atkinson announced a friendly wager this week. After the series, the losing team's chief will have to wear the other's police uniform for a day. The wager is in good fun as Atkinson was a longtime member of the Saskatoon Police Service before taking the position in Brandon.
