Season Continues for Eakin

Swift Current Broncos forward Cody Eakin has been called up to the Washington Capitals AHL affiliate Hersey Bears. Eakin will join the AHL leading Bears on Monday.

Eakin was selected by the Capitals in the 3rd round, 85th over-all in the 2009 NHL draft. He is coming off his most successful WHL season scoring 47 goals and 91points with the Broncos this season. Cody signed an NHL entry level contract this past October.

The SHAW focus will switch to the series between the Kootenay Ice and the Medicine Hat Tigers.

The Western Hockey League and SHAW Communications announced today that games six and a potential game seven of the 2010 WHL Playoffs first round series between the Kootenay Ice and Medicine Hat Tigers

That series is even at two games apiece and, for some reason, they won't be showing Game #5 Friday from Cranbrook.

Oh well, we should be happy that at least they're showing a WHL playoff game that doesn't involve Vancouver or Calgary!

That is soooooo true. I dont know what they would do if Calgary or Vancouver did not make the playoffs. Im sick of seeing their playoff games ever year.
