Cougars Win Draft Lottery

The Prince George Cougars will have the first pick in the 2010 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

The Cougars won the WHL draft lottery Wednesday to secure the top pick in the draft.

Prince George finished with the worst record in the WHL at 12-56-1-3.

Edmonton will pick second, followed by Lethbridge, Seattle and Regina.

The Brandon Wheat Kings do not have a pick until the third round of the draft -- 65th overall.

They traded their first and second round picks to Moose Jaw in the Travis Hamonic deal in January.

The WHL Bantam Draft will take place April 29 in Edmonton.
